Within this framework, we promote the initiative "Building Safe Environments for children, adolescents and youth of the Afronortecaucanas".. This process is aimed at preventing recruitment and other forms of violence that affect Afro-descendant children, adolescents and youth in all their diversity.

Approach and activities

Ethnic-Territorial Management School: Strengthening Afrodescendant Youth Leadership for Peace and Development.

  • It focuses on strengthening community power in contexts of armed conflict and multiple forms of violence.
  • Promotes ethno-education and the valuation of ancestral methodologies as tools for local development and territorial governance.
  • Promotes a culture of peace, peaceful conflict resolution and social coexistence in the territories.
  • It incorporates the promotion of emotional education as a key component for the well-being and resilience of youth.
Featured initiative

Within this framework, we promote the initiative "Building Safe Environments for Children, Adolescents and Youth of Afronortecaucanas".. This process is specifically aimed at preventing the forced recruitment, use and utilization of Afro-descendant children, adolescents and youth by armed actors, as well as other forms of violence that affect them.

Expected impact

To train a new generation of young Afro-descendant leaders capable of influencing the development of their communities, building protective and safe environments, and promoting a lasting culture of peace.
