Decolonial abortion: for sexual and reproductive health with justice and autonomy

This program is aimed at raising awareness and comprehensive training in sexual and reproductive rights from a decolonial perspective, including the prevention of violence and the promotion of care and self-care practices.

Approach and activities

We advocate with public entities of the health care ecosystem to guarantee the right to sexual and reproductive health of women and people with gestational capacity.

  • It offers spaces for training and dialogue on the voluntary interruption of pregnancy, framed within the framework of human rights and bodily autonomy.
  • Addresses the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence, with a particular focus on the needs and experiences of Afro-descendant and indigenous women.
  • Promotes sexual justice and innovation in addressing sexual and reproductive rights (SRHR).
  • It incorporates care and self-care practices as essential elements for well-being and the exercise of rights.
Political advocacy before public entities of the health system.

The objective is to ensure that conditions exist that fully guarantee the right to sexual and reproductive health for all women and people with gestational capacity, free of discrimination and barriers.

Expected impact

To contribute so that women and pregnant women, especially those in vulnerable situations, can make informed and autonomous decisions about their bodies and reproductive health, in safe environments that respect their rights.
